MOMMY & ME

Our Mommy & Me program is a gentle introduction to horses and ponies for young children, designed to build confidence, curiosity, and a love for animals in a safe and supportive environment.

This program is for children ages 2–4 with an accompanying parent or guardian.

Mommy & Me is a 6-week course that introduces young riders to the world of horses through hands-on activities, basic riding, and simple horsemanship skills. Our focus is on safety, fun, and positive early experiences with horses.

Upcoming Mommy & Me Sessions

Winter Session: Jan 31st - March 7th

Spring Session 1: March 21st - April 25th

Spring Session 2: May 9th - june 13th

What to Expect

Each 30-minute class includes a combination of:

• Hands-on grooming and care

• Learning basic horse safety

• Assisted pony riding

• Simple games and activities

• Building balance, coordination, and confidence

Parents or guardians will lead the pony while the child rides, all under the supervision of a certified instructor.

This format allows children to feel secure while gradually becoming comfortable around horses, and it helps parents learn how to safely support their child’s riding.

Program Goals

The Mommy & Me program is designed to:

• Create positive first experiences with horses

• Encourage confidence and independence

• Teach basic horse care and safety

• Build a foundation for future riding programs

Children enrolled in Mommy & Me are automatically introduced into our Rainbow Riders horsemanship program, and upon completion of the session, riders will receive a small award or certificate and guidance on next steps.

Schedule

Classes are held:

Saturdays at 10:00 AM & 10:45 Am

(6-week sessions – limited enrollment)

Spots are limited to maintain a calm, safe environment and to ensure each child receives plenty of individual attention.

Pricing

• $180 for a 6-week session

• $35 per individual class (if space allows)

Important Notes

• One parent or guardian must remain with the child for the entire class

• Closed-toe shoes and long pants are required

• ASTM-approved helmets are required (we can provide them)

• Class size is limited

• Program is designed for ages 2–4
